Cupuaçu – also known as “large-flowered cacao” (Theobruma grandiflorum) – comes from the lowland rainforest near the Amazon basin in Brazil and has a deliciously uncommon flavor. The white pulp of the cupuaçu, like that of cacao, is slightly acidic. Cupuaçu is rich in vitamin C and a superb natural source of potassium, Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, and fiber, among other nutritional benefits.
