Mora (Andean blackberry)

The Andean blackberry (also known as Mora) grows at altitudes of up to 2500 m in the Colombian and Ecuadorian Andes and is very similar to the native blackberry, but is larger, more aromatic and slightly redder in colour. The flesh of the mora is rich in vitamin C and fibre and gives every smoothie an intense, dark purple colour and a tart freshness.

The tart, berry flavour of mora combines well with sweeter fruits or fruit juices. We recommend preparing a refreshing smoothie by blending the puree with apple juice.

We source our mora puree from Ecuador.
