Graviola - the green, spiky fruit of the guanábana tree native to Central and South America - has a snow-white, soft flesh with large, black seeds. Sweet and sour in taste, graviola (also known as soursop) provides the body with plenty of vitamin C, B vitamins and fibre.

Its ingredients are valued in traditional South American medicine for their alleged antimicrobial, antiparasitic and anticarcinogenic effects, among other things. This has now been scientifically confirmed ‘in vitro’.

Graviola fruits are very sensitive to pressure and are difficult to transport.

In many South American countries, graviola is often squeezed and used as a versatile ingredient for soft drinks, ice cream or jam. Freshly mixed with water or a neutral fruit juice, it makes a tart, flavoursome smoothie.

We source our graviola fruit puree from Brazil, Ecuador or Vietnam, depending on the season.
